Tess Mariall Long Ayok, secretary for Information and Public Relations of SSNYU, explained why the MOU was signed with IPYG.

“The reason for signing an MOU with IPYG is to collaborate on the promotion of world peace, [and] promote inter-organizational linkages. IPYG is an international organization that collaborates with many youth organizations and brings together young people from all over the world under the common goal of world peace. Accordingly, the South Sudan National Youth Union, which represents the youth of South Sudan, also wishes to join this goal, and that is why we decided to sign the MOU.”

“The activities we aim to pursue in cooperation with IPYG include jointly hosting HWPL World Peace Summit in South Sudan and launching peace campaigns throughout the country. We also wish to collaborate on IPYG’s excellent programs, such as YEPC and the peace walk.

“Finally, the message we would like to convey to the youth of the world is that as youth, we must be positive agents of peace. Through peace, the world will become a better place where prosperity and human dignity can best be realized.”
