About YEPC

Providing Peace Education for Global Youth

YEPC (Youth Empowerment Peace Class) is IPYGโ€™s global youth peace educational program designed to ensure that young adults are not excluded from their right to peace, and to help them move beyond simply โ€œknowingโ€ peace to “practicing” it in their everyday lives.

Through online and offline learning, YEPC equips youth with practical knowledge based on youth challenges and cultivates a desire for peace. Grounded in HWPLโ€™s peace education values and the UN SDG 4, the program empowers young adults around the world to grow as active agents of peace.

2026 YEPC Course

โ€œWE ARE THE LIVING HERITAGEโ€
The YEPC-6th in 2026 is designed to nurture young adults not just as participants, but as โ€˜living heritageโ€™ who pass peace on to the next generation.

Perspective on Heritage
Many people think of heritage as something left behind in the past.
Yet heritage and history continue to be shaped the present in our decisions and actions. Through this courseโ€”covering cultural heritage, global festivals and commemorative days, and real-world peace practicesโ€”youth will come to realize that the most vital link between the past and the future is people themselves, and ultimately, who they choose to become.
Applied Skill Casestudy โ€“ Saemaul Undong (New Community Movement)
Through the case of Koreaโ€™s Saemaul Undong, inscribed in UNESCOโ€™s Memory of the World Register, youth learn the values of cooperation, responsibility, and participation through real experiences that transformed communities.
This practice-oriented course helps young adults discover their own influence and leadership, empowering them to turn peace from an idea into concrete action.
Language skills Training โ€“ Korean Language, Hangeul
By learning practical Korean language skills applicable to real-life situations, youth strengthen their ability to express their thoughts, values, and perspectives with confidence and clarity.
