Signboard Ceremony of HWPL World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Office, Where Religious Leaders Achieve Peace

On October 30th, 2023 HWPL Global 10 branch held a signboard ceremony for the HWPL World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Office, and also held a WARP Office Comparison of Scriptures in Okcheon Daeyaksasa (Buddhism temple).

The 33 attendees took part in a performance event flying paper planes containing expressions of hope for a peaceful world after the signboard ceremony, shouting “We Are One” together with Ven. Meong An, president of the Yeorae Order of Korean Buddhism.

Ven. Meong An from Daeyaksasa (Buddhism temple) delivered how he felt while participating in the WARP Office Comparison of Scriptures, saying “I had time to remember what I had forgotten through this WARP Office Comparison of Scriptures; the correct understanding of all the words in the Buddhism scripture that talk about peace. I think that HWPL is pursuing peace for the world religions, and the platform to lead this is the WARP Office Comparison of Scriptures.”

In addition, a WARP Office Comparison of Scriptures was held with the theme of “Religion and Peace.” A member of the audience in attendance during this discussion said, “For peace to be realized, the role of the religious leaders is opening their heart and comparing their scriptures through WARP Office Comparison of Scriptures held by HWPL. As a result, they can understand the authentic meaning of religion.” “Peace can be realized as one truth in all the Scriptures”.

HWPL World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Office, which was held in Daeyaksasa (Buddhism temple), will be used as a forum for various exchanges of many religious leaders who love peace, as well as WARP Office Comparison of Scriptures discussions, going forward.
